Warsaw
Warsaw has been the capital of Poland for 400 years and has numerous historical sites and fascinating museums to show for it. The city is a jumble of diverse architecture: Gothic, Classicist, modernist, communist concrete, modern glass, and steel. This fascinating collection of landmarks results from its’ tumultuous history, including the near destruction at the end of WW II.
To learn about Warsaw’s complex history, go for a walk across the restored Old Town or visit one of Warsaw’s excellent museums, such as the Warsaw Uprising Museum, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, or the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
When you tire of history, Warsaw’s restaurant and entertainment scene are the best in Poland. You can take your choice of excellent and affordable restaurants or lively clubs and cocktail bars.
